  • What is your turn around time?
    Turnaround times will vary depending on the scope and complexity of the project.. Typically, you can expect to receive your aerial photography media within 1-2 business after site visit. Drone videography services may take up to 2 weeks for delivery.
  • Do I need to be present during the drone operation?
    While your presence is always welcomed, it is not mandatory. In some instances such as poor lighting or weathering conditions, our team may be required to access the operation site after hours or on weekends. We understand this is not ideal timing for client meetings. Rest assured, we'll ensure all details are discussed beforehand.
  • How do I book your services?
    Booking our services is easy. Navigate to the "Get In Touch" section at the bottom of each page. Fill out the form with your details, the drone service you require, and a description of your project. Our team will be in touch with you promptly. Alternatively, our Live Chat feature is available 9am-6pm on Weekdays and 12pm-6pm on Weekends (GMT+8:00).
  • How do you handle adverse weather conditions?
    Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unfavourable, we will reschedule any site visits to ensure s safe and optimal performance. Western SkyView prioritizes site vists that are postponed due to poor weather conditions. As a rule of thumb, we operate in fair weather conditions. Ideal conditions include clear skies, mild wind, and good visibility.
  • What areas do you service?
    Currently, Western SkyView primarily operates within 100km of Perth, Western Australia (Metro, Greater Suburbs, Regional). However, we are open to discussing projects outside these areas based on requirements. Travel fees may apply for locations outside our primary service area. The extent of fees depends on the distance and logistics involved. We'll provide transparent cost details during the booking process. Please contact us for more info.
  • What drones do you fly?
    At Western SkyView our pilots exclusively fly DJI Enterprise Drones. DJI is the industry leader in drone technology and allow us to shoot the highest quality 4K resolution media. In most cases, the pilot assigned to your project will be using a DJI Mini, Mavic or Phantom series model.
  • Is your drone equipment equipped with safety features?
    Absolutely. Our drones are equipped with advanced safety features, including obstacle avoidance systems and fail-safes, to ensure safe and reliable operations. In the rare event of a malfunction, our drone operators are trained to handle technical issues and we have backup equipment on-site to minimize disruptions.
  • Do you offer custom packages for specific needs?
    Absolutely. We understand that every project is unique. Contact us, and we'll be happy to discuss your specific requirements and create a customized package tailored to your needs.
  • Will my files be accessible online?
    Western SkyView media is available to clients through an access link or via the SkyViewerâ„¢ Portal depending on your service package. All client data and media is handled with strict confidentiality. Our storage systems are secure and regularly updated. This includes both current and archived media.   • Can I request specific angles or shots for my project?
    Absolutely! We encourage clients to share their vision and preferences. During the booking process, you can specify any particular angles or shots you'd like us to capture.
  • Can you provide raw footage, or is editing included in the drone service?
    All Western SkyView media packages comes inclusive with basic editing/colour correction at minimum. On request, we are happy to provide raw footage (RAW, JPEG) along with any purchased service at no additional cost.
  • I live within 5km of a protected airspace. Can you still provide your services?
    Generally, the use of unmaned aircraft within 3 nautical miles (5.5 km) of any protected airspace (including Jandakot) is heavily prohibited. However, Western SkyView is able to gain special access to some Authorization Zones within protected airspace. Please contact us to confirm if your address is within an Authorized Zone.
  • Are you licensed to operate drones commercially?
    Yes, Western SkyView is registered with CASA (Organisation ARN: 1243276) to operate drones for commercial purposes. We adhere to all regulatory requirements.
  • How do you ensure the privacy of neighbouring properties during drone operations?
    Western SkyView adheres to ethical drone operation practices in Australia. We carefully plan flight paths to minimize intrusion, and we avoid capturing images or footage of neighboring properties without explicit consent.
  • Are your drone operators certified?
    Yes, all our Pilot's hold RPA Operator Accreditation at minimum.
  • What insurance coverage do you have?
    We carry comprehensive insurance coverage, including liability and equipment insurance, to provide peace of mind to our clients and ensure protection against unforeseen circumstances.
